Tilda's Kite!

This is just a quick post so you don't have to look at the same cards for 3 days. I finished this the other day and wasn't too happy with the way it turned out. I think it needs ribbon. It is going to have to do because I've lost my mojo the last couple of days. I am hoping I find it in time to enter some challenges by friday.

All the papers used on this one were scraps.

Have a great day!

Strawberries for Sale!

I am loving these new Magnolia Stamps. I love to shop at Magnolia-licious. Diana always has the best selection of stamps. This is another image from the Rainbow collection.

We had a wonderful time yesterday at the fish fry. We even were able to sit outside and visit after 8:00 PM with a nice cool breeze. Everyday last week was 100 degrees or more. Tomorrow we are going to a Western Museum called Wolarock. It has beautiful grounds with gorgeous flowers, a huge log home that the founder of Phillips Pet. Co. used for his weekend retreat. The grounds are covered with Buffalo, Longhorns, Deer of all varieties and Elk. The actual museum has a fabulous gun collection and about 8 rooms full of Western Art and artifax. It is a fun place and I am sure the kids will love it.

Corrosive Challenge #122, Slippery When Wet

This card is for the Corrosive Challenge #122, Slippery When Wet. Cooper is a Paper Pretties digital image and I really think he is so cute. They have a lot of cute images. I am not good at resizing these images but am learning.

My Grandson is coming in from California tonight. His flight is 2 hrs. late already so now he isn't coming until 12:30 in the morning and we have to drive an hour to get him and an hour to get him home. Southwest did the same thing to his Mother and Niece last weekend.

Hope you all have a nice Sunday. We are having a fish fry at my Son's and about 50 people will be there. Should be a fun family gathering.

Sweet Baby Girl!

I love this Mo Manning image. She is so sweet. She was a lot of fun to color and I have no clue why I made a babies dress lime green but as you can see, I did.

Hope everyone is having a great day. We have been cleaning out a storage shed in our back yard for two days. Most of the contents were my Mother's but I have found a lot of my things that I wondered where they disappeared to. We still have about 2 more days to work on it. I can only work on it for a few hours each day as it gets way too hot to spend too much time working in a little building with the temps in the high 90's and no air.

Hope you are having a good day!

Wild Wild West for DH!

This is the card I made for my husband for Father's Day. This is my all time favorite SU set called Wild Wild West. A friend sent me a lot of images years ago and I only use them once in a while to make them last. I know of several people that have bought them off of ebay but they go for several hundred dollars and I can't justify that kind of money. I love western themed cards.

Thanks for visiting today. Have a blessed day.
Hugs,
Linda

Brunette for CMC Challenge

Hello Friends,
I hope you are all having a great Sunday and have a great week. I have my daughter and great granddaughter here and we have lots of things planned.

This card is made with one of the new Rainbow Tilda's. I bought mine at Magnolia-licious, my favorite store for Maggies. I used Bazzill White for the card base and a combo of designer papers from the Paper Studio & DCWV. It was colored with my copics, cut with Nesties and I think the corner die is Heartfelt Creations. Thr ribbon and flowers are from my stash. I dug out my SU punches for the sentiment. Hope you like her.

Corrosive Challenge #121 Ribbons & Bows!

This week's challenge # 121 is Ribbons & Bows. I hope you can join us this week at the Corrosive Challenge. We are sponsored by Paper Pretties and Stamp Insanity. Check out their cool digi stamps. I sure hope you can join us this week.

I've got company for part of the summer. They came in at 10:00PM last night. My daughter Denise and great Granddaughter Lexie are here for a few months. They live in Eureka, CA. They want to spend time with their brothers and sister and Aunts and Uncles. They will not like this 100+ degree weather but we will have fun spending time together for sure.

Have a blessed day.
Hugs,
Linda

CAS Challenge Card!

This was the image Donelda sent us to do for the month of June. Awesome image as Tulips are one of my favorite flowers. It is hard to make a CAS card as I love all the extra embellishments but this one seems to be okay the way it is. I'm not sure it qualifies or not since I've never read the rules for Clean and Simple but hope this qualifies.

I am also adding a few photos of our Granddaughter Elly! This was the reason we went to Houston, to see her Dance Recital. She was fabulous in a type of free dance and tap dance.

Heading Home!

We will be up and on the road by 7:00 AM to go home. We have enjoyed our stay in Houston but I am definitely ready to go home. There is no place like it for sure, especially when you are my age. I am ready for my own bed. The kids are great hosts and Glenda is a great cook. I am ready to craft and I don't have my stuff with me. This card was one I had finished before we came down here so wanted to post something different. This will encourage me to get busy when I get home so I can change my blog. I do love the LOTV images and hope the new ones are still available and not sold out tomorrow night when we get home.

I hope you are all having a wonderful week. Thanks for visiting me today.
Hugs,
Linda

Corrosive Challenge #120-Sketch

I used a Mo Manning digi image for this card. I also flipped the sketch. Hope that is okay. Please come join us this week at the Corrosive Challenge for this fun sketch.

I am out of town so this will be short and sweet. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Sitting and Thinking!

This is the first time I've tried using this new stamp of the window and built in bench. It is perfect for Tilda to sit in the window and watch for Edwin to come by. I bought it from Michelle's Scrapbooking & More.
The image was colored with copic markers which I love. The dp is from Bearly Mine Crafts and is beautiful digi paper.
Thanks for checking out my blog today.

Having a Fun Party!T

I am trying to get some things done before a short trip to Houston for about 5 days. We are going down to see our Grandaughter's dance recital. That should be a lot of fun.

This is a darling LOTV image and finished in some summer colors. I had fun coloring it but have ruined a couple of cards lately with Stickles. I used Diamond stickles on several cards lately and after I took pictures, the stickles showed up as blue instead of sparkley and pretty. What color should I be using. There is one color that turns red. I also used Wild Orchid Flowers on it and my MS punch.

Corrosive Challenge #119 Summer Colors

This week the Corrosive Challenge is to use Summer Colors. To me that is bright colors and I did use bright yellow and pink and orange. It was colored with Copic markers and my first felt rose made from a die. I can tell I need to practice on these.

Many thanks to all of you who sent me comments on my Mother and said a prayer for me.

Thanks so much for following me and I hope you join us this week at the Corrosive Challenge.

My Mother!

I lost my beautiful Mother on Tuesday May 31. She was such a good Christian lady, always doing and helping others. After she retired she spent her days taking little old ladies and gentlemen to their Dr.s appointments, to fill their prescriptions or to buy groceries. She was the first to take food if someone was ill and always working in her church doing whatever needed to be done. She was full of love always and so giving of herself. She will be greatly missed by all of her family who loved her dearly. She was ready to go join her heavenly Father and her husband and we are at peace knowing she is in heaven. We will be Celebrating her life tomorrow morning.

We will miss you Mom. I love you!
