Jade's Birthday card!

This is the card I made for Jade's first birthday. I'm sure she could have cared less but her Mother will put it in her scrapbook and save it for her.

I've been busy pealing peaches. I made about 18 jars of Peach Freezer jam and cut up another 3 dozen peaches for the freezer. I am tired of them and hope the jam is good.

I love this Mo Manning image. I am entering this in a few challenges.

New Challenge # 131 at the Corrosive Challenge!N

New challenge is "show us your dark side". This is my first Halloween card for the year. I love Halloween cards so glad to get a head start on this one. Come join us at the Corrosive Challenge Blog this week.

We had a 1 yr old birthday party for Jade today. She was so cute and of course she didn't know what was going on but she had fun with all the kids. She had a pink and green John Deere cake. Of course she didn't care about that either. Here are a few photos of her on her Birthday.

CMC Challenge-Wings

I hope this qualifies with the butterflies on the paper and punched butterflies. Our challenges are always so much fun and lots of fun prizes each two weeks and a great gift certificate from Oozak each month.

I also received a beautiful butterfly award from Cindy. Thank you Cindy. Most of the ladies I know well enough to send this on don't want to receive awards or pass them on so I am just posting the beautiful photo here for all to see. I appreciate you sending it to me. Thanks so much.

Season's Greetings!

I'm trying to get a head start on my Christmas cards. I love the Magnolia Snowmen so decided to color a few to try to relieve some stress. It worked, I feel better. My daughter was in a bad car wreck near Redding, Ca. yesterday afternoon. She had to be taken to the hospital by heliacopter and the jaws of life had to be used to cut her out of the car. My DSIL was driving ahead of her and when he didn't see her behind him, went back looking for her and found her wrecked. Believe it or not she only had some road rash on one arm, the same arm had a 5 in cut to the bone that had to be stitched and two hairline fractures in her spine that they said were on spurs so not serious, her vertabraes were all ok. Anyway my SIL called me and said she was in a bad wreck but ok and then he was cutting out because he was in the mountains and hour and half away from Redding, and had bad reception. I had to wait 2 hours for him to get to the hospital and talk to the Dr. so I would know what is going on. I want all my kids to move back to OKlahoma and stay near because that is just too far away in an emergency situation. lol!! Not too sure that will happen tho!
I colored the rhinestones on the large snowflake with Copic marker #B99 and I also used the same marker to color two of the pearls on the card. I also colored the image with Copic markers, used papers from Bo Bunny and sentiment is from LOTV.

This card is for a friend in our Church that recently had surgery. She loves nature so thought this paper and punched bird from my friend Michelle. She punched me about a dozen of these in different colors and they are all beautiful. Thanks again Michelle. You did such a beautiful job on them. For A Friend as a surprise!

Here I go again with another red and blue card. I just love those two colors together and they are also my favorite colors. I made this for a friend and really hope she likes it. I had to color part of my embellishments with copics to enter this in the CMC challenge so the light and dark blue flowers are colored with copic markers. They are Wild Orchid Craft flowers. I colored some blue dew drops too but forgot to use them! lol!!

I am entering this in:

Birthday Hedgie!I

I hope you are looking forward to the weekend with some fun things to do. We are taking Denise and Lexie to the airportin Tulsa and sending them back home. I will miss them. I am looking forward to cooler weather. It rained again today, which is a miracle. That is two days of showers off an on all day. We were desperate for some moisture and most of Oklahoma and Texas are in dire need of rain. Maybe this will stop some of the fires in our area.

I made this card for these challenges:
Flutterby Wednesday: must have a butterfly, fairy, or something with wings
The Outlawz Copic or Promarkers: color an animal

Anyone for Ice Cream!

We went to Braums for ice cream cones last friday night and again last night. I can't eat ice cream after 7:00 or I will be up all night. We went late on fri. nite so I tried some Cherry limeade sherbet and it was delicious. I wanted real ice cream so that is why we went again early yesterday evening so no more trips to Braums for me for awhile.

Happy Birthday Riley!

My little Great Granddaughter Riley will turn 8 in September but she ask if she could have her birthday party before her Aunt Denise and Cousin Lexie went back to California so we are having her party tomorrow. She loves music boxes and especially those with little ballerinas on top so this is her card. I may have to add a little ballerina charm if I can find one.

We are home recouperating today from 3 days in Branson, Mo and one day in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We had fun and shopped, saw music shows etc. but today is our day to rest because there are things going on tomorrow. It is my DH birthday as well as Riley's birthday party. He did not want a party in fact insisted he not have a party so he is not having one.

Have a great day!

BookEndz Challenge!

Come Join us at BookEndz!

In our monthly bookclub on the CMC Challenge Blog we are reading a wonderful book "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" by Lisa See. The book is so good, about growing up in China, I think in the 19th century. We were to do a project using the story as our inspiration. This is the card I did for the challenge. I used the Magnolia China Tilda. I thought it was perfect for this. I am not finished with the book but love what I have read so far. I am about 1/3 through with it. If you love to craft and read, come join us. Suzanne has lots of nice prizes and contests going on right now.

Have a great day. We are going to leave for Branson in the morning and be gone about 3 days. I am sure we will have fun, just no daytime activities in this heat.
