This card is for the CMC Challenge Blog to do something bright. I think this qualifies as bright. lol!! I love these colors together and love this Art Impressions image. Come join us. It turned really cold here today. We were in the 70's which is not normal for Oklahoma and now we are in the 30's with a chance of storms and tornadoes. We are supposed to have warmer temps tomorrow so am hoping this little cold snap is the last of winter but know this is wishful thinking.

Here is my card for the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge blog. We had a beautiful photo for inspiration. I just went with two colors and white that I saw in the photo so hope it is okay. The DT's cards were all so beautiful.

Is anyone else having trouble commenting on blogs? Some of my friends use word verification and I have tried up to 6 times to post a comment to their blogs and either I am going blind and didn't realize it or they are making it extra hard to post comments. I would be interested to know if anyone else is having problems or if it is old age!!

We had some crazy weather last night. We got rain, sleet and hail all at the same time. It was weird and on top of that we had 40-50mph winds. Sounded pretty bad out and it all lasted only about 30 min. and was completely over. Then the sun came out. Did I say CRAZY weather?

I am excited about our Church Valentine Party tonight. We will have lots of fun prizes, a great catered meal and lots of fun with our Church family. Glenn chose Mango Chicken for our main entree with a salad and Bridesgroom cake for desert. Ice tea for drinks and not sure what the appetizer is but I am sure it will be good.

Gunner has a heart murmer but they don't think it is a problem. They are also checking his kidneys to make sure they are ok. It seems that Jaimi and Kyle's chromosomes don't match to well. Gunner's older sister Jade was born about 19 months ago with her intestines on the outside so Kyle says no more children. Jade had surgery minutes after her birth to put it all back and was also in NICU for about 5-6 weeks but has done great ever since the surgery.

Baby Gunner!

Baby Gunner was born on Jan. 31, 2012 at 7:55 AM. He swallowed or sucked in some of the amniotic fluids while being born by C-section. They kept his basinet tilted at the hospital for a couple of hours and he started having problems breathing so they took him by ambulance to a larger hospital about 30 minutes away to their NICU. Today he is doing really well. He is off the by Pap machine and breathing on his own. They said they would be keeping him from 5-14 days to be sure he is breathing okay. They say he is really strong. He weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. He was 19 3/4 in long.

Thanks to everyone that knew what was going on for all the prayers sent our way.
The bottom photo is me and my Grandson Kyle who is Gunner's father. The Mama hasn't got to be with him but was supposed to get released tonight and was going straight to the other hospital, hop in a wheel chair and go see her new baby.

I colored my image with Copic Markers. I used a Magnolia image, dies, embossing folder glitter paper and made a stick pin out of some beads I had on hand. I am hoping to use it for a winter birthday for someone in the family.

This card will be for one of my Granddaughters, Nicki. She is on bedrest at 29 weeks pregnant and her placenta is separating so she can only get up for the bathroom only. She is doing pretty good and they are wanting her to be able to deliver there in Eureka instead of having to fly her to San Francisco to a NIC unit if the baby comes to early. I have her in my prayers all the time. She loves my cards so this one will be her Valentine.

Ready for Normal Routine!

I am ready to get back into a normal rountine around here. The holidays were fun and loved everything about them but glad to get back to normal.

This is my first Valentine for 2012. I love the new Magnolias and couldn't wait to get this one colored. It is colored with copic markers.

This is just another Christmas Card that I gave one of the Granddaughters. I don't even remember which one I gave it to. I just have too many and it is too hectic this time of year. My Granddaughter Megan ask me to make her a gingerbread man card to give to her Secret Sister at her school's Christmas exchange. She had found a gift for her with gingerbread men on it and she loved the card I made her. I found the image online somewhere and don't remember where I got it so will need to look it up so I can give credit to the artist that drew the image.

My oldest child is having a birthday today. It is also my friend Keri's birthday and my BIL Gene's birthday. This is a Tim Holtz image is for Scott. I am wishing him a wonderful birthday and a year with good health. He has heart problems, has lots of angina attacks and has a lot of heart damage. Love you Scott! I published this early, his actual birthday is Dec. 7.

Here is another Magnolia Snowman and of course it is for one of the Grandkids. I'm going to be finished in a couple of days with my Christmas cards. I hope so anyway. I think this one will be good for one of the guys. For the older ones I slip a gift card inside and that is okay with them. I am thinking this one will be for Alex. He is autistic and loves to get lots of money so for him I stick in 20-$1.00 bills and he loves it. I still shop for the really small ones, actually 8yr on down. The rest are older 12 on up to their 30's. This year for the first time I am excluding gift cards for the ones that have children. It is too much with 17 Grandkids and then the 17 greats plus there are 3 on the way...someday they will all just get cards if they keep having little ones. I do love each and everyone of them.

The light wasn't very good for taking photos as it is raining and pretty dreary today. That makes it a good weekend to craft, color and put together some cards. I don't intend to leave the house except for Church tomorrow morning. Wishing you all a great weekend.

I love this Crissy Armstrong image. This is for the Bookendz Group and the card is for the book we have been reading. The book is Einstein and Emily, by Linda Francis Lee and it is a fabulous book. We've spent the evening out at Osage Hills State Park which is about 8 miles out of town. My Stepdaughter and her family always rent a cabin out there for Thanksgiving week. It is a beautiful place to stay and the cabins are so neat this time of year with the beautiful autumn colors on all the trees. It has lots of hiking trails and the Grandkids love it out there. They still come into town and spend time here with us and we go out there and spend the evenings drinking hot chocolate around a campfire and just visiting. Sometimes the weather is really nice and some years it is much colder. This year is supposed to be in the high 60's in the afternoons after tomorrow so that will be great hiking weather.

My card is a LOTV Christmas image. I love their stamps and this card is for another Grandchild and for LOTV's challenge to make a Christmas Card for someone special.

This is my favorite Tilda of all the cuties in the Sweet Christmas Dreams collection. This is going to be a busy day. I have a storage building to clean out before it gets any colder. I don't really have to clean it out, just need to move things around so my Christmas tree and decorations are closer to the front instead of in the back. Our challenge this week is Give Thanks. Join us at the Corrosive Challenge Blog for some fun challenges. My card is a thank you card for our Nephew and Niece who hosted us at the family reunion we recently attended. They were such sweet hosts so I made this and will include a short letter inside.

I have always loved the Christmas season. I have so much to be thankful for. I have a very loving family and lots of them. I keep myself occupied making them all cards for the seasons. I love doing it for them as there are so many I can't get gifts for all of them. I just get presents for the little ones and there are 17 of them with 2 on the way. The two new ones won't be here for Christmas this year though.

I'm crazy about Magnolia stamps and so that is why my blog has a Magnolia on it so often. I really like this one and hope you do too.

Pink Christmas!

This image came from Magnolia's Fall kit. I really like this image and knew when I saw it that I would sit her on the Santa hat that also came with the kit.

I can't believe we had 2 earthquakes here in Oklahoma. The first one happened at 2:00 AM on Saturday morning, woke me up. The second one at around 11:00PM right after the Oklahoma State Cowboys football game. The second one was really shaking our home, a few things fell off shelves etc. No one could believe it. It was felt in Joplin, Mo, in Ark. and they are saying it was felt in southern Illinois. It was a 5.6 earthquake. 2011 in Oklahoma we had the coldest temps ever, the hottest temps ever and the biggest earthquake ever..hope we don't have another year like this.

This is my son's birthday card. His birthday isn't until Nov. 8 but wanted to make sure I had his card finished. The one below was my Grandson Travis's birthday card. His birthday is already passed, it was Oct. 1st.

I am in a motel in Durant, OK. We are getting ready to go meet the rest of our family for a family reunion. We are going to our Nephew's house to spend the day just visiting and sharing photos etc. Everyone is taking cameras and computers and copying everyone's photos so I need to get off of here and pack this computer.

This is another Halloween card for one of my Granddaughters or Greats. I guess you can tell that I love Magnolias. I have a minimum of 36 Halloween cards to get made and some in the mail, but most I can hand out to the kids.

Hope you are having some beautiful fall weather. We are until Sunday and it is supposed to be 85 degrees and then on Tuesday a cold front is coming in and they say it could be as low as 35 on tuesday morning and then warm up to the 50's. I was hoping for lots of good fall weather, but looks like that is wishful thinking.

Happy Birthday Megan!

This card was made for my Granddaughter Megan. Her Birthday is Oct. 15. She is the Mother of Jacen and Jevin. I was trying to color with copics looking like distress inks. I watched Suzanne's videos and gave it a try. I see lots of mistakes but it was my first try. I will keep practicing. The important thing is Megan will like it. I distressed the edges of the paper with a distressing tool and sponged the edges of the paper.

I have a lot to do today, have to go to the grocery store. Need lots of fresh veggies. My DH went on insulin today so need to get some healthy foods in the house. I am hoping he will stick to his diet and I am going to go on his diet with him. I need to eat better too.

Copic Class With Suzanne!

I am upset that we didn't get a photo with Tracie at our Copic Class. We almost didn't get this one, just thought of it as we were leaving. It was so much fun and we all learned so much, the class was AWESOME! We learned so much and Suzanne is such a fun person and we felt like we had known her forever. If you get a chance you should take the class. It is so informative.

Here are the 3 Musketeers! We had a blast together. I felt like I've known Tracie forever and she was just a great person to get to hang out with. We have to do it again sometime! Maybe next Spring we can come here again and shop, shop, shop and talk, talk, talk. Thanks Tracie, for everything. She brought cupcakes for my birthday which isn't until next month but all the ladies in the class were so thankful to have them and I was too. They were delicious and they were red velvet and lemon and both were yummy. The photo that is coming up next is of Debra and Tracie doing some serious listening to Suzanne.

I'm worn out! We were in class from 9:00AM to 7:15PM. After class another friend (Keri) from Kansas City met us and we went out for dinner and caught up on each other's lives as we hadn't seen each other for about 5 years. This was such a fun weekend. Now I am thinking of turning in as we have to leave for home in the morning.

Here are some more of the cards I did for the Troops. I've already mailed them to the lady that sends the bundles off to Operation Write Home and they forwards them on to the Troops in Afganistan and Iraq. I only sent 12 cards but I still feel good about it.

This card is for the Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge to use a song for inspiration. I got this stamp last November while I was visiting my daughter in Oregon and just now inking it up. It was a fun image to color.

I am happy to report it has been raining lightly off and on since yesterday. We really needed it after all the heat we had this summer. We are way below normal for our rain so this should help the grass and maybe those brown spots will go away. Have a great weekend everyone.

This Magnolia card is for a couple of Magnolia challenges going on. Since I retired I am finding it is better to have fun than to clean house. I have decided a spotless house is not so important to me anymore, enjoying life is more important. My husbands health is not always good, so we just take it a day at a time and do what we enjoy doing. For him that is watching TV, for me it is coloring and making cards, reading and spending time with the Grandkids. My home isn't dirty or cluttered (except for my craft room) but it is not perfect either. I don't like to cook anymore, did it for a lifetime it seems so when I do cook, I cook enough for several meals, that way I don't have to cook a big meal everyday. I am trying to explain to some of my friends why I have time to make so many cards, that and the fact that I need them for 5 children, 17 Grandkids and their spouces and 17 Great Grandkids. Hope you like these two I made today.

Cards for the Troops!

This was the first challenge on the WRAK Falling Leaves Cards for The Troops. It was to make a child's birthday card that they could send home to their child. They can't go out and buy cards in Afganistan or Iraq so they need all we can send them. It's great fun to do this for them.

Today is a day to Remember our fallen heroes in PA, Washington D.C. and NYC. I'm off to church for a special prayer service for the families. I'm hearing fireworks all over town right now. I didn't know they would be doing this. It doesn't seem like 10 years has passed.

Pearls and Lace Challenge!

This card is for the Greetings Challenge over at the Outlawz. It has both pearls and lace as that is the requirement. A friend sent me this image and I love it so think I am going to have to go buy her. I love Jonquils, one of my favorite flowers.

Hope we have a quiet weekend so I can get some things finished. Last weekend was so busy and fun but ready for a quiet one. I am counting the days until the 24th when I get to take a copic class from Suzanne Dean in KS City, KS.

I have 12 cards to upload to my Splitcoast gallery that I did as a cheerleader for the FALLING LEAVES CARDS FOR THE TROOPS CHALLENGE. I hope to get those done in the morning.

I just saw where I won a prize on The Outlaws Greeting Card Challenge! I am excited because I was almost out of cryogen paper. Thanks so much to the Outlawz group.

I love this scarecrow Tilda. My friend Charlene sent this image to me and loved having it to color. I colored her with my copic markers and used some beautiful PTI and Paper Studio papers on it. I used some 3 felt leaves for texture on this card, two are brown by the carnation and one is orange. I love Wild Orchid Crafts new Carnations.

Daughter's Anniversary card

My youngest daughter and her husband celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary yesterday evening with a party for family and friends. Mike is a farmer and has always farmed on the side even tho he worked at construction jobs. Sherrill works in a loan office. Mike is 45 and has had parkinson's disease for several years and it is progressing pretty fast and he struggles dailey with trying to do things for himself. They have always had a hay hauling business on the side and Sherrill may only weigh 95 lbs, she is a size 1, but she loads those 80 lb bales with the best of them. They had the party because they were not sure if Mike would be able to enjoy their 25th. It was fun and a little sad at the same time.

Jade's Birthday card!

This is the card I made for Jade's first birthday. I'm sure she could have cared less but her Mother will put it in her scrapbook and save it for her.

I've been busy pealing peaches. I made about 18 jars of Peach Freezer jam and cut up another 3 dozen peaches for the freezer. I am tired of them and hope the jam is good.
